Half the size of the 42" methane transmission pipeline.
The explosion occurred Sept 14th, 2008 near Appomattox Virginia
on a natural gas transmission line owned by Williams Energy.
Five persons were injured and over one hundred homes
were damaged or destroyed.
No deaths resulted from this explosion.
As CLASS-1 rated rural area by US DOT PHSMA
